Stones River Woodworkers Club Scholarship
Application The Stones River Woodworkers Club will make available four
(4) scholarships of up to $250 each. These
scholarships will be offered to current paid up club members of the SRWC to help increase your knowledge and skills
in woodworking. If you are interested in obtaining one of these scholarships, you are required to complete and return this
application on or before the club meetingon July 26, 2011. Please be sure to read and understand the application requirements
and follow
them closely. As
suggestions only,
your scholarship
could be used for workshops or instruction at venues such as the Appalachian Center for Crafts,
Arrowmont School for Arts and Crafts, John C. Campbell Folk School, classes
at General Industrial Supply,
or the Tennessee
Association ofWoodtumers or other woodworking symposia such as the Tennessee
Valley Woodworkers special Saturday instruction programs, or classes/instruction through
the Woodcraft Store. Please provide your name, address, phone number and email address (if available) on this form. On a
separate sheet of paper (no name or anything to indicate
who you are) please provide an answer to
each of the following questions: 1. How would you likely use the
scholarship? 2. Explain how you and/or SRWC will benefit from
your receiving the scholarship? 3. How would you help club members or any other individuals or organizations benefit from
what you have learned? A requirement of receiving one of these scholarships is that you will make a written report suitable to be included in the club newsletter or give an oral report at a club meeting. For reimbursement you will need a receipt for
