Scroll saw Class

Attached are some pictures taken at the Scroll Saw Workshop which was held June 6 and 7 at Jeanne Altstatt's workshop. Jeanne and Barry Meier took these pictures and assisted 10 club members with the building of a wooden ribbon gift box.  All the club members completed pretty boxes, and all had a fun time. Jeanne made the PowerPoint slides available; however, the file is large. If you want a copy of the slides, please send me an email at ferrarojr@aol.com

June 2024 meeting

 Stones River Woodworkers Club Members,

The June 25th meeting will be in a different room at St. Mark’s. We will meet upstairs in room 1203. There is an elevator to that area just as you come in the front door leading to the sanctuary. The sanctuary entry is located on the left side of the church as you enter from Rutherford Boulevard, and you should park on that side. Someone will be available to direct you.

Here are some updates on the picnic.

1. This is a potluck picnic with the club furnishing the BBQ, drinks and tableware.   You will need to bring your favorite dish or dessert 🍨.  We need a hard count if you are attending the picnic so that we can buy the BBQ and drinks.

2. The picnic will be on Saturday, 27 July from 11 AM to 4 PM at St. Mark's in our regular meeting room. Set up will be from 11 to 12, and lunch will be served at Noon.

3. To make sure we have enough room we will be taking a headcount at our June 25th meeting.

4. Don't forget our silent auction.   This is our primary fund raiser for the club and it's always fun 😁.   Please look around your shop for anything you might like to donate.

We look forward to seeing you at the picnic.

Next get together

Stones River Woodworking Club Members,

This is a reminder to come to our informal meeting at Hardees close to Sam's Warehouse Store at 9 AM Tuesday morning June 4th. There is no agenda, just friendly talk about anything you care to bring up.
We had a great presentation last Tuesday by Amanda Stephenson of Sapphire Wood Studio in Murfreesboro. Amanda showed us some of her wood and epoxy resin work and some of her students projects from her classes.  You can get more information about Sapphire Wood Studio at https://sapphirewoodstudio.com
