February 2024 meeting

Stones River Woodworkers Club Members,

Just a quick reminder that our next meeting is Tuesday 27 February 2024. We will gather at 6 PM to 6:30 PM. This time is really good for checking out the Show & Tell projects and asking questions from our members on how they do some of their woodworking. The meeting will start at 6:30 PM. 

Our Presenter this week is Mike Zinser. He will be conducting a live turning demonstration. 

We still meet at St. Marks United Methodist Church; 1267 N. Rutherford Blvd. Murfreesboro, TN.

For your information, the Stones River Woodworkers Club discount is 10% at all three locations, Rockler, Klingspor,  and Woodline.

Stones River Woodworkers Club Members,

As a reminder, the annual SRWC Picnic will be at the Lascassas Fire Department this Saturday, July 22^nd  2023. If you have a donation for the silent auction, such as tools, equipment, and anything else useful to donate, please bring them with you if not already given to President Sam Clark. 

Start time for arrival is 4 PM to deliver your Picnic dish and, if possible, a dessert. The Silent Auction items will also be collected and arranged from 4 to 5 PM as well. The meal should begin about 5 PM. 

Remember, the Picnic takes the place of our SRWC meeting that would have occurred next Tuesday, 25 July 2023.

Be safe and we will see you all this Saturday.

June meeting

 Mark your calendars for this Tuesday's meeting.

We will meet at St. Marks United Methodist Church; 1267 N. Rutherford Blvd. Murfreesboro, TN. The meeting is on Tuesday, June 27th, at 6:00 PM for fellowship; and at 6:30 PM the meeting will begin.

Our speaker for June is Jim Zarzaca. Jim is a retired NJ police officer, who moved to Tn 6 ½ yrs ago. He has been wood turning for past 17 years.  He has worked with CNC for 5+ since joining the  Woodcraft Store.

Jim will be showing V-carve software for the CNC: some basics, what it can do, simple sign designs, etc.

Please come through the entrance we normally use and you will be redirected to room 1203.
